Production

CENTROSOL solar glasses are manufactured by cutting-edge production methods, to the highest standards of quality. Centrosolar Glas is the first glass finisher in the world with fully integrated, automatic batch production of solar glass. It incorporates the processes of trimming, edge processing, coating, tempering and packing to customer-specific requirements.

Cutting

Cutting is performed by CNC-controlled precision glass cutting systems with diamond cutting wheels.

Grinding

Edge processing takes place on two-sided high-performance grinding systems that guarantee maximum dimensional accuracy and angularity. A high-precision CNC model grinding plant that is capable of producing extreme contours is being commissioned from January 2007.

Coating

The Nano-Power anti-reflective coating (CENTROSOL HiT) is applied in clean-room conditions using coating facilities developed by Centrosolar Glas itself. Both the reflection colour and the maximum transmission wavelength of the nano-coating can be adjusted on request.

Tempering

Centrosolar Glas uses what are currently the most modern, high-performance thermal prestressing facilities in the world. The highest possible standards of flatness and mechanical strength can thus be achieved. Thanks to our technological expertise, even glasses measuring only 2.6 mm thick that have not previously been thermally prestressed can now be tempered, opening up new areas of application.
